Volunteer for FlyQuest

Spread Your Wings

FlyQuest is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Huntsville, Alabama. The buzz about our aerospace education programs for young people has created the need to find volunteers, pilots, air traffic controllers, mechanics, and general aviation enthusiasts to help coordinate or teach various aviation programs as we expand.

What are some of the ways you can help?

  • Teach a segment of our Aviation Fundamentals program. Examples include but are not limited to: air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, pilot fundamentals, and airport operations! Coursework is already developed and each segment is just one-day of your time!

  • Teach students to fly, using computer-based flight simulator programs. Instruct students and other pilots, using FlyQuest’s 6 Degrees of Freedom flight simulator, the only one available in North Alabama! The unique hardware can be configured for 25 single engine and 10 multi-engine aircraft and includes a full metal cockpit enclosure, dynamic control loading, modern avionics and a 225 degree visual system!

  • Coordinate students attending the One-Day Aviation Overview. No aviation experience required, but we’d love to have you put your organizational skills to use to help us reach more students!

  • Help us develop the next level of our curriculum. Knowledgeable aviation professionals and professional educators are needed to develop, improve, and evolve a new level of class, as well as revamp the old coursework as technology progresses.
